What this website is

This website is the marketing and content site for Samui Stay. You can read every page without an account, without signing in and without giving us your name or email address. There is nothing here to book, pay for or upload to.

What we do not collect

This site has no user accounts, no contact form, no comment fields and no payment flow, so it never receives your passport, your card details or any booking information. Those are handled exclusively inside the separate Samui Stay application when you choose to book, under that application's own privacy policy.

We also do not buy or trade contact lists, and we do not sell visitor data. There is no sign-up here and no form to fill in, so no profile of you builds up on this site that could be sold to anyone.

Cookies

This website runs Google Analytics 4. It stores small text files called cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_ followed by a short id for this site, so that repeat visits count one reader rather than a new stranger each time. Blocking or deleting them in your browser changes nothing else about how any page here works.

Server logs

Like essentially every website, our hosting provider records standard technical request logs, which include things like the requested address, the time of the request and the browser's IP address. These logs exist for security and reliability, are retained by the hosting provider under its own retention rules, and are not used to profile visitors.

Analytics

We measure traffic with Google Analytics 4 so we can see which guides are read and which are not. For every page view, Google records the address requested, the page you arrived from, your approximate location at country and city level derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. The IP address itself is not stored or reported by this measurement.

We have enabled no advertising features through it, we do not attempt to identify anyone, and this site never receives a name or an email address that measurement could attach itself to. If you would rather not be measured at all, Google publishes a browser add-on that switches off Google Analytics on every site you visit.

Where booking data actually lives

To be completely explicit about the most important case: if you search, book or pay for a home, your identity verification documents, payment details, signed contracts and reservation records are collected and processed by the separate Samui Stay application, not by this website. That application operates under its own privacy policy, which governs everything you submit there.

The only personal data this website's team holds outside the application is what you deliberately send us, for example an email about a guide that needs correcting. We use it to answer you and for nothing else, and we keep no mailing list.
